To Mrs. Vines and Family,
I was so sorry to learn that Mr. Vines had passed. He was my Principal for years at Grove Park. I loved working for and with him. I agree with so many others that his smile lit up a room. He was so caring of all the children and all the staff.

One year for our Secret Santa I had the privilege of receiving a handmade basket from him. What a special person he was and I shall miss him.

Please know that as you go through this difficult time there are literally hundreds of others who grieve with you. Take care in the fact he shall be a wonderful teacher and friend in heaven.

Mr. Vines was my elementary school principal at Grove Park as well as a very dear friend of my family. Mr Vines was not only an excellent lifelong educator - but he set an example how to live a exemplary life full of love, friendship, giving to others & integrity. Mr. & Mrs. Vines were my parents' favorite traveling partners and I'm lucky to count him as a friend & mentor. I'll always treasure the beautiful handcrafted wooden bowl that he made for me. For his outstanding life - Mr. Vines easily earns an A+ and has been promoted to the highest place of all ! My prayers & sincere condolences go to Mrs. Vines & the children & grandchildren.

Vance was my 6th grade teacher at Maple Ave school many years ago--may well have been his 1st teaching job. I can see him now on the mound pitching to us students on the baseball field. Vance was clearly 1 of the best teachers I ever had--he instilled a lasting confidence in me. It has been said you may not remember exact words spoken but you do remember how that person made you feel and with Vance the feeling was always positive and uplifting. I think we all hope to make a difference and Vance made a big difference in many lives I am very thankful he came our way.

Mrs. Betty, Denise and Susan,
So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Vance. He was a sweet soul and I will cherish the memories of our trip to Europe and him attending our softball games when we were kids. He had a smile that could light up a room and a personality that showed Jesus lived in him. I know words will not take away the pain that you feel but know that I am praying for strength and comfort during this difficult time. I know he is now an angel watching over each of you.
