Dear Walt, Lillian was my Dad, Ernest H Humphrey's, last living cousin. Don't you know those Humphreys are having one more reunion up there.

My husband, Bill Cline, and I were delighted that you and Lillian came to our 50th anniversary celebration at Kerr in Concord in 2004. We learned to know you at our Humphrey reunion at Tolarsville in Saint Pauls.

Lillian called me ever so often to ask about Bill's health. When I didn't hear after a while I knew she was no longer able to make calls. So sorry about your son's death. We parents have a hard time if we outlive our children.
My dear husband has gone to his reward as well, he left for heaven's clime on 27 April 2014. So I'm alone now too. God be with you till we all meet again. I'm living in Raleigh at Whitaker Glen, a retirement community near my daughter, Joy's home.

We had the pleasure of being next door neighbors of the Hendersons for many years. Both Walt and Lilian could always be counted on to throw up a welcoming hand and engage in a friendly chat. Our lives are richer for knowing her. God bless.

Aunt Lillian was ALWAYS teaching and a wonderful role model. She unselfishly served her community, her church and her family and was a true disciple of Christ in all areas of her life's service. She was a wonderful wife and perfect compliment to Uncle Walt.

Dear Jean & family,
Our condolences as you grieve the loss of your sweet mother. She and your father were so kind and welcoming when we moved to Burlington and joined FBC in 1999. We have fond memories of her warmth and sense of humor.
In Him,

Jean and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. She is in the arms of Jesus now! She had to be a sweet lady because she surely has a sweet daughter. Love and prayers, Danny and Susan Simpson
