John Norwood Sargent II

Mr. John Norwood Sargent II, 74, of Liberty passed away at Alamance Regional Medical Center on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 11:55 a.m. following a short illness.

A native of Huntington, Long Island, he was the husband of Ann Sargent, who survives and the son of John Norwood Sargent and Marjorie Chorlton Sargent, both deceased. He retired from Walter Kidde and was a part time employee with Wal-Mart.

In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a daughter, Wendy Sargent of Liberty; two step-sons, Allen Jones and wife April of Snow Camp and Mike Jones and wife Shizuko of Cary; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Roger Barefoot.
