Dorothy Balentine Goodnough, 95, formerly of Springhill Drive, Burlington died at Alamance House Assisted Living in Burlington on Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
A native of Greenville, SC she was the wife of the late Douglas Diver Goodnough and the daughter of Luther Tillman Balentine and Nancy McKuen Balentine, both deceased. Dorothy retired from Sears and was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Brett Goodnough and wife Joan of Jacksonville, FL; a grandson, Jerald McConnell of Marietta, GA; and a niece, Nancy Norville of Gastonia, NC.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her brother and sisters, Grace Woodall, Thomas R. Balentine, and Mildred Brinkley.
A private graveside service will be held for the family at Alamance Memorial Park.
