Bobby Ronald Gerringer Sr.

Mr. Bobby Ronald Gerringer, Sr., 86, of Gibsonville died at Beacon Place on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 3:45 p.m.

A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of Pat Gerringer, who survives and the son of Edward R. Gerringer and Florence Younger Gerringer, both deceased. Mr. Gerringer was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and retired from Guilford County as the chief plumbing inspector. He was past President of the N. C. Plumbing Association. He enjoyed golfing and fishing.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Casey Gerringer and wife Dee of Greensboro; one step-son, Curt Gerringer of Gibsonville; five grandchildren, Brittney, Jeremey, Wesley, Grayson and Nathan; two brothers, E. R. Gerringer and Carl Gerringer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Ronald “Ron” Gerringer, Jr. and three sisters, Vera, Edna and Willie.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 6 until 8 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. William Baker. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Guilford County, 4527 West Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, North Carolina 27409.
