Stuart "Stu" Haley

Stuart “Stu” Haley, 74, of Elon, died on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Burlington.

A native of Manchester, England, he was the husband of the late Linda McCrickard Haley and the son of Tom Haley and Louisa Ogden Haley, both deceased. He was a salesman with Elox in Davidson, North Carolina. His greatest joy was living with his daughter and granddaughters after the death of his wife.

Survivors include his daughter, Jill Haley Weston and husband Jay of the home; two grandchildren, Haley and Abigail Durban, both of the home; stepson, Jason Karriker and wife Stephanie; Sisters-in law and brothers-in-law, Barbara Crook, Mike McCrickard and wife Janie; Danny McCrickard and wife Aleta; and  Barry McCrickard,; Richard “Dicky” McCrickard and wife Janet; William "Billy" McCrickard and wife Theresa; and Faye Wood and husband Tom.  Stuart is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to his wife Linda, and his parents, Stuart was preceded in death by his Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law, Richard and Doris McCrickard, formerly of Elon, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St. Mark’s Church with Rev. Robert M. Disher Jr. officiating.

Memorials may be given to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, for the Hospice Home, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Weston’s home following the service.
