Mary "Anne" Marley Stewart

Mary "Anne" Marley Stewart of Burlington passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at her home after a lengthy illness.

Anne was born on December 23, 1938 in Burlington, NC to the late Alfred Curtis Marley and Esther Shoffner. She was preceded in death by her husband Kyle Franklin Stewart and a granddaughter, Emma Stewart Davis.

Anne retired from Soabar Graphics in Greensboro. She was very active at Low's Lutheran Church participating in circle meetings, attending the annual NC Women of the ELCA conferences and many other events at the church. She was a loving wife and mother.

Anne is survived by her daughters, Susanne Crawford and husband Brent of Huntersville and Karen Bryant and husband Greg of Hendersonville; son, Jeffrey Stewart of Nairobi, Kenya; sister, Glenda Reiber of Burlington; brother, A.C. Marley, Jr. of Burlington; and five grandchildren, Morgan Crawford, Rachel Crawford, Erin Crawford, Adam Bryant, and Nathan Bryant; and one great-grandchild, James Davis, Jr.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service at Low’s Lutheran Church from 11:45 AM until 12:45 PM.

The funeral will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Low's Lutheran Church by Rev. John Mark Beam III. Burial will follow at the church's cemetery. A reception will be held afterwards in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Low’s Lutheran Church, 2136 Hwy. NC61, Liberty, NC 27298.
