Lois Boswell

Mrs. Lois Jarrell Boswell, 77, of Burlington went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 18, 2017.

A native of Randolph County, she was the wife of William L. “Bill” Boswell, who survives and the daughter of Roland F. Jarrell and Lucy Jarrell, both deceased. Mrs. Boswell was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for 40 years and the Church Treasurer for 25 years. She was a remarkable wife, mother and grandmother “Ma-Ga”. She was loved by all, and was a mentor, friend and Godly example to all who knew her. She loved her family, her friends, her church, gospel music and most of all Jesus. She was viewed by all who knew her as a Godly, honorable and selfless woman.

In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a daughter, Sheila Boswell Laparra and husband Matt of Elon; two grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Kendra Brooke Oliveira and William Camden Oliveira; sister, Melvia Powell of Liberty; three brothers, David Jarrell, Johnny Jarrell and Bobby Jarrell, all of Asheboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Jarrell and J. C. Jarrell and a sister, Priscilla Jarrell.

The funeral service will be conducted at Bethel Baptist Church, Graham, NC, on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. by Rev. David Jackson and Rev. Scott London with the family receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Other times, the family will be at the residence.
