We are so sorry for your loss. The Bible always brings me comfort, especially Rev. 21:3-5 which promises God will wipe every tear from our eyes and death will be no more. To learn more about His promises of making all things new, feel free to read or play the audio from this article:

Dr. Woodard and family: my condolences to you on Lisa's passing. I was not privileged to know her, but I do know she was deeply loved and cared for by her husband and family. May your memories of Lisa bring you comfort in the weeks and months to come, as your strong faith will also do.

I was delighted to get to know Lisa Woodard. I was privileged to see her mainly in her school setting where she was truly in her glory while on earth. She was so satisfied to be puttering quickly about here and there in her spacious new library. Lisa truly cared about the students and loved encouraging them to read. I'm so glad that I got to be friends with Lisa and I will miss her sweet smile but I look forward to seeing it again someday in heaven.

Lisa was truly a beautiful lady inside and out. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have her as a friend. She was a great listener and had the gift of encouragement. She was fun to be around and had a positive outlook. She loved Jesus and trusted in Him no matter what the circumstances. She was very loved and we will always remember her sweet smile. It is a comfort to know she is living with the Lord without pain or suffering . My prayers go out to family and friends in the days ahead. God be with you all and His comfort and grace be with you Blair, Phil, Christie, Marie and all of her extended family.

Lisa was a friend to all in high school. She was always a bright spirit with a lowly smile! We reconnected as NC educators and I am so blessed to have known her. Blessings to her family and friends.

Heart and Prayers go out to the family and friends of Lisa. Don't look at it as a loss of a loved one, but a gain of a guardian angel.

I had not seen Lisa since our days at Page High School in Greensboro. I was very sad to hear that she passed away. We lost a wonderful woman way too soon. Lisa was always smiling when I saw her. I am not sure I remember anyone that smiled as much as she did. I remember taking photo's of her when I worked for the yearbook. I am so glad that she is with our Lord though. She was always a woman of faith and purpose. My prayers are extended to her husband, daughter & son at this difficult time. We can feel fortunate to have spent time with her, even the smallest amount made an impact on my life! We also know as Christians that we will see her again. God bless, Gregory

Deepest sympathy from Japan. We are the family of Lisas parents, Mitsunobu and Masako. We met Lisa, when we were children and we all remember how her smile was so genuine. Rest In Peace, Lisa, and meet you in heavens. We are all proud she has lived as an American lady.
