Jimmy Wayne Lambert, 55, passed away at his home on Saturday, December 9, 2017. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Jimmy D. Lambert and Peggy Chisholm Lashley and Bill Lashley, who survives. He was the husband to Susan T. Lambert of 27 years who survives and father to Melinda S. Lambert of Wilmington, NC.
Jimmy was self-employed as a cabinetry and joinery master craftsman. He was also a Licensed General Contractor. Under the leadership of his mentor, Mr. Bill Coble, he won the VICA state carpentry competition and advanced to the national level of the competition during his senior year at Southern Alamance High School. He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include a sister, Kim Black and husband Fred of Burlington; brother, Jon Lambert of Mebane; and seven nieces and nephews, Amanda and Matthew Teer, Alan and Rachel Evans, Jacob and Will Ingle, and Walker Black. A special uncle, Carvin Astern Lambert of Jacksonville, FL.
A funeral service will be held at Friendship United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM by Rev. Thurman Horney and Rev. Bill Boykin. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington. At other times they will be at the residence.
