Frances (Owens) Dent

Frances Owens Dent, 94, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Woodside Hospice in Pinellas Park, FL. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 69 years, Frank R. Dent Jr; parents, Robert J. Owens and Elizabeth Owens; brother, George Owens, sisters-in-law Janice Owens, Alice Owens; and brother-in-law, Gene Sexton.

Frances was born in Birmingham, AL. She was payroll manager at Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach, FL when she retired. She and her husband were members of Bellemont United Methodist Church in Burlington for over 20 years.

Survivors include brothers, Lester Owens, Vann Owens (Betty); sister, Betty Sexton; children, Sandra Gioia (Sal), Linda Pace (Richard), Frank Dent III (Geraldine); grandchildren, Chris Goldrick (Matt), Sally Helmes (Scott), Jennifer Pace (Steve Haider), Rick Pace, Travis Dent, Todd Dent, and Brian Tilley; great-grandchildren, Leila Dent, Sam Haider, Caroline Haider, Isaac Haider, and Dexter Helmes.

The funeral service will be conducted at Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 3:00 PM by Rev Farron Duncan with the family receiving friends from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bellemont United Methodist Church Cemetery.
