Audrey Lee Nunn

Audrey Lee Tickle Nunn, 83, went to be with her Lord on July 13, 2017 after a brief illness. Born March 25, 1934 to Clarence and Ruby Qualls Tickle, she was a native of Burlington, NC where she worked as an accountant at Fairystone Fabrics, retiring in 1999 after 26 years of service.

A loving wife to Harold Nunn for 65 years, Audrey was an incredible loving mother to Susan Wilson (Charles), Larry Nunn (Michelle) and Jeffrey Nunn, all of Burlington, and a wonderful grandmother to Jennifer Wilson, Michael Nunn, Robert Nunn, Lindsey Brenner (Brad), Megan Nunn and Jacob Nunn. In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, she is survived by her brother, Bobby Tickle (Pauline) of Hartford, CT, and sister, Maggie Wright (Herb) of Burlington. Her parents and brothers Conrad, Clinton and J. Thomas Tickle preceded her in death.

Remembered by her family and friends for her tenacity, impeccable wit and resounding faith, Audrey was a true inspiration to those around her. A devoted Christian, she attended Harvest Baptist Church regularly.

The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Burlington on Tuesday, July 18th from 6-8pm. A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at Harvest Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Larry Lamberth, on Thursday, July 20th at 1pm, followed by a burial service at Alamance Memorial Park. Visitors are welcome to visit the family throughout the week at 4487 Cornerstone Drive in Burlington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harvest Baptist Church, 3741 S Church Street, Burlington, NC 27215 or Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
