Mrs Wilma Morgan Sharpe

Mrs. Wilma Morgan Sharpe, 84, of Burlington, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2019 at her residence following several years of declining health.

Mrs. Sharpe was the wife of the late Richard R. Sharpe and daughter of the late William B. Morgan and Harriet Thomasson Morgan. She was a graduate of Lewisville High School in Richburg, SC, attended Montreat College, and graduated from Elon College in 1957. She was a retired salesperson at the Remnant Shop, Bur-Mart, Bur-Mil and Goody’s. She was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church and the Shiloh Luncheon Group.

Surviving are a daughter, Amy S. Evans & husband Mike of Mebane; Billy Sharpe & wife Gwen of Gibsonville; 3 grandchildren, Brad Sharpe, Kristen Sharpe and Josh Evans; 4 great grandchildren, Isabella, Jace, Jaxon and Jett; and 2 nephews, Joey Cooper and Matt “Skeeter” Cooper. She was preceded in death by a sister, Betsy Morgan Cooper and a niece, Libby Cooper.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 4, at Pine Hill Cemetery with Rev. Scott Orr and Rev. Carl Parsons officiating.

The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the Shiloh Presbyterian Church Scout Hut from 3-6 PM.
