Ms Willie Battle Lasley

Miss Willie Battle Lasley, 100, of Mebane died peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023. She had celebrated her 100th birthday two days earlier.

A native of Orange County, she was the daughter of Lawrence W. Lasley and Ethel Pickard Lasley, both deceased. Willie was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Lasley and Mildred Lasley. She retired as Vice President from Community Federal Savings and Loan Association after 32 years of service. Willie was a life-long member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church where she served as Treasurer for many years. She also served on numerous committees.

Willie is survived by many cousins.

The family would like to express appreciation to her caregivers at Peak Resources-Alamance for excellent care the past year and a half when Willie suffered a broken hip.

The funeral service will be conducted at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. The body will be taken to the church to lie in state 45 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the burial.
