William Earl "Billy" Holliday

Mr. William Earl “Billy” Holliday, 68, of Snow Camp passed away at the Hospice Home on Friday, December 1, 2017at 4:25 a.m.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Jean Williams Holliday and Jean Davis Holliday, who survives, and was the son of Myron Earl Holliday and Rachel Smith Holliday, both deceased.   Billy was a farmer and member of South Fork Friends Church in Snow Camp.  Billy’s life was devoted to God and his church, his family and agriculture.

Mr. Holliday is survived by his wife, Jean of the home; two sons, Willie Holliday and his wife, Emily of Snow Camp, and Jimmie Holliday and  his wife, Jennifer of Snow Camp; four grandchildren, Shannon, Wesley, Addison and Connor Holliday; sister, Ann Mann and her husband, Wendell of Snow Camp; sister-in law Alice Gooden and her husband Mackie, of Clarkton, NC, brother-in-law Randall Davis of Lanexa, VA and sister-in-law Elaine Padgett of Wilmington, NC; seven nieces and nephews, Barton Mitchell and his wife, Marion, Catherine Mitchell, Randy Davis and his wife, Amy, Reesa Donnelly and her husband, J.D., Suzanne Griffin and her husband, Mike, Tyler Gooden, and Chris Padgett; and many great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at South Fork Friends Church on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 3:00 p.m., led by Pastor Andrew Needham and Rev. Ray Gooch.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will greet friends in the church fellowship hall on Sunday following the committal service.
