Obituary

William Stafford Foster, Jr., 90, passed away November 27,2021. He was born April 4,1931 in Burlington, NC to the late William Stafford Foster, Sr. and Hazel Howard Foster. He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne Mann Foster in 2006 and by his son, William Stafford Foster III in 2021.

Surviving are his daughter; Susan Foster Royal (David); and daughter-in-law, Janet Sherard Foster; a granddaughter, Marissa Foster Meyzen and husband David V. Fraccaro; and a grandson William Stafford Foster IV.

Mr. Foster was a successful textile entrepreneur. He was well read and enjoyed traveling the world. In retirement he enjoyed his home and family at Figure Eight Island, NC.

He was loved and admired by all who knew him. His family will miss his extraordinary smile, whistle and zest for life.
