William (Will) Lawrence Cowan, 29, of Burlington, passed away on Sunday January 12, 2020. Will was a graduate of Walter Williams High School (2009) and attended High Point University. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Thomas and Lynn Cowan. He is survived by his paternal grandparents Larry and Evelyn Cowan and was the maternal grandson of Kent and Nancy Thompson (deceased). In addition to his parents he is survived by his two sisters Jocelyn Drye and her husband Josh, Morgan Lasater and her husband Walt; four nieces, Maddy Drye, Ava Drye, Audrey Lasater, and Harper Lasater; two brothers, Michael Cowan and his wife Becca, Zac Cowan and his wife Brianna, and his honorary grandfather “Mr. Mike” Gibbons.
Will was a compassionate, generous, and kind spirit who will be missed by his family. He will be remembered for a nontraditional approach to life, his quick-witted humor, his mischievous spirit, and his infectious smile. The family will host an informal visitation to celebrate his life on Sunday the 19th of January 2020 at the residence of Tom and Lynn Cowan located at 2451 Glencoe St. Burlington, NC from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
