Whitney Grace Lee

Whitney Grace Lee was born on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11:51 a.m. at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill to the parents of Cole and Karla Lee of Graham.

Whitney came into this world too soon and was taken too soon.  Heaven’s gain was our loss when our angel was called by our Lord.  You’re one of Heaven’s angels now a perfect little star, and when you shine the world can see how beautiful you are.  May you fly with magic wings on clouds so soft and white.  May your heart be joyful and our days be bathed in light.  Though our hearts are broken and your life far too short, we thank you, sweet angel, for the happiness you brought.  Just know my dearest angel that our greatest blessing was having you.

In addition to her parents, Whitney is survived by paternal grandparents, Rusty and Beverly Lee of Greensboro; and maternal grandparents, David Barrett of Haw River and Novella (Tommy) Sparrow of Graham; paternal great-grandparents, R.C. and Betty Lee of Browns Summit and Robert and Carolyn Cato of Aiken, SC; and maternal great-grandparents, Katie Lee of Haw River and Annie Cheek of Graham.  Two amazing Aunts, Maggie Lee of Greensboro and Kelly (Chad) Slaughter of Snow Camp; as well as three wonderful first cousins, Dade, Trent, and Reid Slaughter of Snow Camp and many other extended family members.

A memorial service will be held at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. by Pastor Rob Cassell with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham.
