Wayne Robert Walton

Wayne Robert Walton, 80, of Haw River passed away at the V. A. Medical Center in Durham on Sunday, July 31, 2022.

A native of Carnegie, PA, he was the husband of Rose Marie Kovach Walton, who survives and the son of George Ferguson Walton and Beatrice Sydney Wright Walton, both deceased. Mr. Walton served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the VFW in Manassas Park, VA. He was formerly employed with Xerox and various other companies in their IT Department.

In addition to his wife of their home, survivors include two daughters, Dr. Jessica Rose Seeyoung Walton and husband Reid Lindsay and Dr. Lindsay Reine Walton and husband Billy Gagon; son, Jeffrey Colin Walton and fiancée Anna Hadley; son, Christopher Talbott; granddaughter, Isla Jangmi Lindsay; brother, George Raymond Walton; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Don Pegg. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
