Mrs Virginia Boswell Stewart

Mrs. Virginia Boswell Stewart, 94, of Graham, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at her residence after several years of declining health.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Gary McBee Stewart and the daughter of Charlie Lee Boswell and Merle Hargrove Boswell, both deceased. She was a retired dietician with First Baptist Church of Graham and was also a member of the choir and handbell choir at the church. Mrs. Stewart was a charter member at New Covenant Fellowship Church in Graham. She was an extraordinary person and loved her family very much.

Survivors include her son, Gary Lee Stewart and wife JoAnn of Graham; her grandson, Gary Michael Stewart and wife Katelyn of Graham; two great grandchildren, Gary Carson Stewart and Gary William Stewart; two brothers, Harold Boswell and wife Shirley of Burlington and Dan Boswell and wife Penny of Graham; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean McDaniels; and three brothers, Joel “Butch” Boswell, Don Boswell, and Charles Ronald “Pete” Boswell

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Graham Memorial Park with Rev. David Neff officiating.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 17th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham.
