Virginia Burke Sellars

Virginia Burke Sellars, 18, survived by her loving family Chuck, Julie and her sister Bacall. As well as her aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents, Joe and Karen Zang. Burke was our angel who had a huge smile and an even bigger heart. She enjoyed each day of her life and brought joy to all those around her. Burke left us all with a lasting memory of a precious little girl who strived for happiness each day of her life. Our little angel was much loved by her family, and will be in all of our hearts and minds forever. And she will be remembered always, by all the lives she touched.

The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington. Also, on Friday evening from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm the family will have a gathering of friends at the residence of Jenny Zang and Thomas Teapole, 418 Hillcrest Avenue, Burlington, NC.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington.

The family would also like to thank UNC Hospitals. And a special heartfelt thanks, to all the nurses on 7 Children’s.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Burke’s name to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
