Paulene "Polly" Mason McCollum

Paulene “Polly” Mason McCollum, 90, of Burlington and a former resident of the Cedar Ridge community, died Friday, November 30, 2018 at Liberty Commons of Burlington.

A native of Henry County, Virginia, Mrs. McCollum was the wife of the late Marvin Odell McCollum and the daughter of the late Buford Mason and the Late Bessie Norman Mason.

Mrs. McCollum was a retired Register Nurse and a member of Eastlawn Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for the adult women’s class.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathy McMillen of Burlington, Janice Ryals of Burlington and Beth McCollum of Garner; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McCollum was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane McCollum; a sister, Rosemary France and a brother, Gene Mason.

The family will receive friends at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 5, at 2:00 pm in Evergreen Memory Gardens in Reidsville. Officiating will be the Rev. Steve Joyner.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
