Mr. Van Lee Graves, 72, of 302 Brooklyn Street, Burlington passed away at UNC Hospitals on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at 2:10 p.m. following several days of declining health.
A native of Caswell County, he was the loving husband of Juanita Shoffner Graves and the son of Carrie Graves, both who survive. He retired from Glen Raven, Inc. He enjoyed going to the gym, working in his flower garden and being outdoors. Mr. Graves was a member of Graves Chapel Baptist Church in Yanceyville where he served as a Deacon and Superintendent of the Sunday School. He was very active in his church and loved spending time with his church family and friends.
In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include two sons, Kenneth Graves and wife Kita and Mark Graves, all of Burlington; five grandchildren, Shanne M. Graves, Claire Graves, Johnathan Graves, Daniel Graves and Justin Graves; two uncles, Billy Graves and wife Geneva and Leonard Graves and wife, Shirley, all of Burlington; several nieces and nephews; and a daughter-in-law, Tiffany Graves.
In light of the recent mandate due to the Coronavirus, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
