Vallie Evangeline Loy

Vallie Evangeline Loy, 95, formerly of Burlington, died Saturday, May 24, 2019 at Brighton Gardens in Atlanta, Georgia.

A native of Alamance County, Mrs. Loy was the wife of the late Samuel Stuart Loy and the daughter of the late Nicodemus Vaughn and the late Maggie Davis Vaughn.

Mrs. Loy is survived by her daughter, Ellen Loy Tindol of Atlanta, Georgia; granddaughter, Jennifer Catalon, of Atlanta and a great-grandchild, Harper Catalon.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Loy was preceded in death by her son, Samuel Stuart Loy, Jr.; a grandson, Jason Loy, three sisters, Ilver Foster, Dorothy Moon and Foy Hart, three brothers, Nicodemus Vaughn, Bryant Vaughn and Tulsa Vaughn.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. Officiating will be Steve Vaughn. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
