Troy D. Holt

Troy D. Holt passed away on January 18th after several years of failing health. Troy was born at home on Main Street in Burlington on July 2, 1935.

He graduated from Williams in 1954 and Elon College in 1958. After a short stint in the army, Troy went to work for Western Electric (aka Bells Labs and AT&T) for over 33 years. During a layoff Troy worked with the City of Graham.

Troy was proceeded in death by his daughter, Wendy Ann Holt, parents Sally A. Lewis and step-father Carl Anthony Lewis, brothers Buddy Holt, Carl Anthony (Tony) Lewis II and a sister Margaret Holt.

Troy is survived by his wife of 60 years Beverly Harris Holt.

A memorial service will be held in the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, the 25th of January. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm prior to the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers one may make a donation to their favorite charity or to the First Baptist Church of Burlington.
