Thomas Clyde Meredith

Thomas Clyde Meredith, 83, of Burlington, North Carolina passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

Tom was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on January 21, 1940 to Guy and Jessie Tom Meredith, both deceased. He is survived by his sister, Ann Meredith Polny of Sebring, Florida.

Tom was the husband of Marilyn “Toni” Meredith, who survives. Tom and Toni spent 66 wonderful years together and celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this past August.

Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army and graduated from Auburn University with a B.S degree in Business Administration. He began his career at Burlington Industries and retired as Chief Financial Officer of Stord, Inc. He was a member of Front Street United Methodist Church.

Tom was a wonderful father and an amazing Grandy. He is survived by his daughter, Lesley Meredith Henry, her husband Patrick, and his three grandchildren: Jack, Robert, and Meredith. He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Andrew “Andy” Meredith and the family is comforted by the knowledge that Tom and Andy are together again.

The family will greet friends and family at Alamance Country Club on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Other times, the family will be at the home of Lesley and Patrick Henry.
