Sylvia Foster McAteer, 72, of Gibsonville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 29, 2020.
A native of Gibsonville, she was the wife of Larry McAteer, who survives and the daughter of Robert Lewis Foster and Juanita Holt Foster, both deceased. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband of their home, survivors include a daughter, Tracie Allison Caudill (Perry); son, James “Craig” Allison (Jami Jenkins); grandchildren, Chris, Nicholas, and Mattie Caudill and Ryleigh and Jagger Allison; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Kinley Caudill; brother, Rev. Larry Foster; step-son, Kenneth McAteer; step-daughters, Sonja Thompson (Joe), Tanna Fowler, and Judith “Jam” Davis (John); step-grandchildren, Erica Lindley (Jonathan), Cortney Fowler (Stephen Riggs), Amy Caudle (Jonathan) and Craig Thompson (Laura Gene) and John and Jacob Davis; step-great-grandchildren, Levi, Brayden and Phoebe Gene; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bobby” Foster and two sisters-in-law, Kay Foster and Jo Anne Perry Foster.
In light of the recent mandate due to the Coronavirus, a private service will be conducted.
The body will be open for viewing from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington.
