Swanson Mack Church, 72, of Burlington, passed away Friday, June 19, 2020 at his home.
A native of Meadowview, VA, Mack was the husband of Starr Hayes Church for 50 years. He was the son of the late Swanson Dayton Church and the late Pauline Puckett Church.
Mack retired from AMP, Inc, where he was a tool and die maker. He graduated from Walter M. Williams High School in 1967.
First and foremost, in Mack’s life was his relationship with his Lord and Savior and his family. During his Christian life, Mack served as Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School teacher. Mack was a member of New Covenant Fellowship Church.
Surviving Mack is his wife, Starr, of the home; two sons, Christopher Swanson Church (Theresa) and Jody Dayton Church and his wife, Stacy; one grandchild, Dayton Daniel Church and one brother, Roger David Church and his wife, Teresa, of Marion, NC.
In addition to his parents, Mack was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Church Wood, and his twin brother, James Brack Church, Sr.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 22, from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at New Covenant Fellowship Church, 1913 Rogers Rd, Graham, NC 27253.
A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Officiating will be the Rev. David Neff and the Rev. David Jackson. Burial will be in Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
