Susan S. Owen

Susan S. Owen, 73, of Burlington passed away at Duke Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 2, 2021, with her family at her bedside.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Carl Eugene “Inky” Owen and the daughter of Robert Fulton Sessoms and Alene Davis Sessoms, both deceased. She was a retired Clinic Manager at UNC Hospitals.

Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Lynn Davis and his girlfriend Alexandra Kronenberg; six grandchildren, Gavin Davis, Robert Davis, Ella Davis, James Davis, Carleigh Davis, and Ashleigh Kronenberg; brother, James Robert “Nick” Sessoms; and sister, Sherry Sessoms Hester (Ben), and three nephews.

Susan was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington by Rev. Don Pegg. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
