Deborah “Debbie” Newcomb Shue, 63, of Burlington passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
A native of Danville, Virginia, she lived most of her live in Burlington and was the loving wife of Jerry Shue, who survives and the daughter of Roy Newcomb and Carolyn Chatman, both deceased.
Debbie was the sales manager at The Burlington Times News where she worked for over twenty years. She enjoyed her work and helping those in the community. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, particularly trips to the beach, and various arts and crafts.
In addition to her husband of their home, survivors include three children, Misty Irwin (Jonathan Irwin) of Littleton, Colorado, Lawrence “Mac” Shue (Amanda Lynn Shue) of Gibsonville, NC, and Jennifer Shue (Jonathan Brown) of High Point, NC; six grandchildren, Nathan Shue, Carson Atkins, Madison Brown, Brycson Irwin, Jonathan Irwin Jr, Alicson Irwin; a sister, Vicky Lishchynsky, a brother, Wayne Newcomb and her uncle, Wayne McDowell.
A graveside service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 25, 2022.
