Shirley Montague Perry, 84, of Burlington passed away on June 2, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Wake County, she was the wife of the late Donald Worth Perry, and the daughter of George Brodus Montague and Edna Brumfield Montague, both deceased.
Shirley spent her time as a devoted homemaker and was active in the Burlington Garden Club. She was a member of the First Christian United Church of Christ where she served as a Deacon.
Survivors include a daughter, Melia Montague Perry Davis (Rick) of Conover, NC; sons; Barry Donald Perry(Rhonda) of Burlington, NC and Daniel Wade Perry of Statesville, NC; a step-son, Eddie Worth Perry of Graham, NC; eight grandchildren, Brittany Reavis(Chris), Kristin Perry, McKenzi Hancock(Michael), Perry Davis(Marie), Alexis Davis, Brian Davis(Erin), Nathan Davis, and Kate Bumgarner; seven great grandchildren, Leo, Mason, Alex, Abby, Clyde Finley, Riley and Elizabeth; a sister Rosalee Rockafellow(Lee); a brother, George Montague(Barbara); sister in law, Carey Montague, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her grandson, Dustin Wade Perry and her brother John Montague.
There will be a funeral service at Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington, NC on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive family and friends from 12:30 until 2:00 at the funeral home
