Shirley Berry Tucker

Shirley Berry Tucker, 81, of Gibsonville passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 17, 2021 following six months of declining health.

A native of Maricopa, AZ, she was the loving wife of George H. Tucker, who survives and the daughter of the late Dean Edward Berry and the late Patsy Dean Berry.

Shirley loved spending time with her grandkids and dogs, “Herbie” and the late “Doc”. She enjoyed cooking cakes for Hospice, watching NASCAR, working in her garden, canning, going to yard sales and flea markets, and shopping at Roses and Target.

In addition to her husband of their home, survivors include two children, Kenneth Leon Tucker and fiancée, Sandra Prince of the home and Michael Tucker and wife Sharon of Elon; two grandchildren, Randy Dean Tucker and Justin Delacy Tucker, both of Elon; one great-grandchild, Lacy Dawn Tucker; six siblings, John and Martha Berry of Lake of the Ozarks, MO, Jerry and Becky Berry of Houston, TX, Virginia and Doug Justice of Greensboro, Sondra Berry of Grove, OK, Mark and Gaylene Berry of Jay OK and Joe and Yvonne Berry of Miami, OK; one special friend, Vickie Coble of Snow Camp; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Sunday, June 20, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. Following the committal service, the family will be at the residence of her son, Kenneth Tucker, 4352 McIntyre Road, Gibsonville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Hospice, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Alamance Regional Charitable Foundation, for the Alamance Cancer Center, P.O. 202, Burlington, NC 27216.
