Sharon "Renee" Rivers

Sharon “Renee” Rivers, 61, of Burlington passed away at the Hospice Home in Burlington on Tuesday, September 25, 2018.

A native of Keysville, VA she was the wife of Haywood R. Rivers, Sr. and the daughter of Samuel Hunter Roberts and Frances Hackney Roberts, both deceased. She worked for Target. Renee was a member of Pilgrims Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Renee was an animal lover and a devoted Nana.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three daughters, Carrie Beckwith and husband Mark of Burlington, Ashley Logan and husband Chuck of Burlington, and Amy Myers and husband Ross of Yanceyville; her step son, Kenneth Rivers; five grandchildren, Kionn, Aiyanna, Harper, Benjamin, and Nolan; and sister Patricia Hanks.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters.

The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

A funeral service will be held at Pilgrims Chapel Baptist Church, 9923 Kerr's Chapel Road, Gibsonville, NC, on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM by Pastor Mike Jones. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens in Reidsville.
