Obituary

Sharon Northam Long Jamison, 67, of Burlington passed away at AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Home on Friday, July 16, 2021 following an extended period of declining health.

A native of Wicomico County, MD, she was the wife of Thomas “Tom” Bradford Jamison and the daughter of Richard Clay Northam and Margaret Clarke Northam Briscoe. She was a former advertising director with PHE Inc. She enjoyed taking care of her plants, collecting elephants and depression glass, shopping for antiques, and going to the beach.

In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a brother, Bruce Northam (Joanie); two sisters, Robin Flaherty (Richard “Flats”) and Donna Northam Garrison; eight nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother and by her step-father, William A. “Bill” Briscoe.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. E. Reid Dickens with the family receiving friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
