Mr. Samuel “Sam” H. Rogers, Sr., 73, of 435 Thompson Street, Graham, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 22, 2018.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Rita “Pat” Lassiter Rogers, who survives and the son of Howard Rogers and Mable York Rogers, both deceased. He was the retired owner and operator of Rogers Drywall. Sam was an avid Dale Earnhart fan and loved to fish. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Burlington.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a daughter, Tammie R. Isley and husband Ronnie of Graham; two sons, Sam Rogers, Jr. and wife Missy of Hillsborough and Howard Rogers and wife Jaime of Haw River; sister, Kay Parker and husband Lee of Graham; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy D. “Tim” Rogers; two sisters, Dolly Hudson and Mary Rudder; and a brother, George Tucker.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Boyd Pickard, Rev. Don Swinney and Mr. Ronnie Isley with the family receiving friends from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery. Other times the family will be at the residence.
