Mr. Samuel McBride Foster, 91, of Burlington passed away at the Hospice Home on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 5:33 a.m.
A native of Danville, VA, he was husband of Billie Ashe Foster and the late Cora Lee Loy Foster and son of the late McBride Foster and Carrie Wood Foster. Mr. Foster was retired from the Alamance County School System, a US Navy Veteran a member of the Burlington Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a gifted artist and taught art classes in the school system.
Surviving, other than his wife of the home, are a step-daughter, Marilyn Ellis, of the home; two step-sons, Edward Hobby of Hermitage, TN and Daniel Hobby of Mebane; and three nieces, Dee Lentz of Concord, NC, Nancy Alexander of Spring Lake, NC and Judy Paries of Little River, SC.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 933 W. Old Glencoe Rd., Burlington on Saturday, September 28, at 2:00 PM.
