Ruth Jones Brown

Ruth Jones Brown, 97, of Burlington passed away at her residence on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 12:03 a.m.

A native of Victoria, VA, she was the wife of the late Billie Fred Brown, Sr. and the late W. H. Brumble and was the daughter of John Wesley Jones and Minnie Moose Jones, both deceased. She assisted her husband in his business enterprises. Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon where she was a member of the Wesleyan Class.

Survivors include a daughter, Jean Brown Allred of Burlington; son, Bill Brown of Burlington & Ft. Myers, FL; four grandchildren, Trip Brown (Melodee), Wesley Brown (Kellie), Kirk Allred, and Stefanie Barfield (Shawn); six great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; sister-in-law, Alease Tickle; and her best friend, Mandy. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Wesley Brown and wife Sonia Love Brown; four sisters; and two brothers.

A graveside service will be conducted at Pine Hill Cemetery on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 10:30 a.m.  Mrs. 

Brown will be available for public viewing from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. Saturday. The family welcomes your attendance and ask for masks to be worn and social distancing practiced.
