Mr Roy Dean Frye

Roy Dean Frye, age 75, of Burlington, NC, beloved son of George and Ida Frye, passed away in Alamance Regional Hospital on November 10 after a short illness. He graduated from Southern High School where he excelled in track and football. He then served in the US Navy as an airman in Patrol Squadron 47 during the Vietnam War, and was quickly promoted to a recruit petty officer second class for carefully and diligently executing his duties. Later he graduated from DeAnza College in 1976 with a degree in Computer Sciences and Systems Operations, and went on to work for Apple Computers. He is survived by his brother John Frye of Asheville, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents – George Thomas Frye and Ida Lashmit Frye; sisters – Edith Juanita Wall, Reva Colleen Jester, Dionece May Turner, Deloria Ann Parrot; brothers – Hobart Carlton Frye, James Elmo Frye, George Thomas Frye, jr., Richard Lee Frye and Lee Roy Frye. He will be remembered as being very physically fit and athletically gifted, a hard worker, and highly motivated and intelligent.
