Marilyn, I am saddened to learn of Rod's death. However, we can take much comfort in knowing that our world was enriched through his life. My fondest memories of him are those from the time we shared a wall between our offices. Rod was a good and decent man.

Marilyn,
We send our love and prayers to you and the whole family. I always loved chatting with Rod and enjoyed seeing him smile, especially during our music adventures. We will miss him dearly and we know he is now in the comfort of our lord and savior, Jesus. I look forward to the day I can play music with him again in Heaven. Love, Shawn and Bev

Marilyn, Lindsey, Erin and Meredith:
Joel and I are just so sad at the loss in our community and to your family of such a gigantic man!! Rod filled a room with much energy and music, the universal language. We will promise to pray for you all this coming year as you have the harder job to try and carry on here in this earthly life, while Rod is with his heavenly father in complete bliss. Our love and sympathy to each of you and your extended family.

I had the great pleasure of playng banjos with Rod on many occasions with the various Gary Hastings groups. His plectrum and my tenor( banjos) were a compliment to each other. He was so easy to get along with...I really looked forward to gigs with him. I am sad he has passed on.

I am so sorry to hear about your family’s loss. Mr. Fox lived such a full life but yet it was cut too short. It’s comforting to know that God never purposed for us to experience the pain of losing a loved one. The Bible tells us that God's original purpose was for perfect humans to inhabit a peaceful paradise earth. Imagine how wonderful his life will be when God fulfills Psalms 37:11. During times like these "the God of all comfort,” continues to help those in need. (2 Corinthians 1:3).

My deepest sympathy in the loss of your love one. May you find comfort in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about him and bring him back again. John 5: 28, 29 gives this assurance. Hope this thought brings comfort.

Marilyn, Crystal and I were so sorry to hear about Rod. Besides just seeing him recently at Life @Elon, I also worked with him at Biomedical in the mid 70's. I know he really enjoyed our recent program at Elon by his close friend and his loss will be felt by so many. Our prayers are with you and your family.
