Mr Robert Wilson Glenn

Robert W. Glenn died at home on Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Born in Burlington, NC on December 30, 1931, he was the son of the late Thelma W. Glenn and the late A.T. Glenn.

Bob was a member and deacon of the First Christian United Church of Christ where he served in various capacities, most notably as chair of the finance committee, Board of Deacons and Official Board.

He was a graduate of Burlington High School and graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill in 1954. His professional career as an industrial engineer was in the textile industry, both at Burlington Industries and Hanes Knitwear, where he traveled extensively to plants in Central America. Bob was a manager member of Glenn Properties, LLC.

Bob was predeceased by his wife, Frankie Strader Glenn. He is survived by his children, Robert W. Glenn, Jr. and wife Sherry; Kathryn Parker and husband David; and Rebecca Glenn; grandchildren Carrie Parker and Sam Parker; and brother Irwin Glenn and wife Sue.

The family will greet friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral Service, 306 Glenwood Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215 on Sunday, February 16, 2020, from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. The burial will be private.
