Robert L. "Bob" Nance

Robert Lyndon "Bob" Nance passed away on September 3, 2018. He was a retired engineer from Robert Nance Engineers in Graham, North Carolina and was previously employed by Western Electric. Bob was a graduate of Elon College and Duke University.

He was on the Board of Allied Churches and helped in establishing a local homeless shelter. He was a member of The Lamb's Chapel in Haw River, North Carolina.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Jake Haines Nance and Ruby Wilson Nance, a daughter Kathy Nance, and a sister Marie Durham.

He is survived by his wife Doris Humphrey Nance, sister Edith Gilmore of Burlington, NC, brother Wiley Nance of Cary, NC, four daughters: Rhonda Nance of Miami, FL, Susan N. Albright of Gibsonville, NC, Robin Nance Burke of Raleigh, NC, and Gina Colonna of Sarasota, FL., eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at Lamb's Chapel Church at 2 p.m. on Friday Sept 7th, 2018 with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.
