Robert Layton Swink

Robert Layton Swink, left us on February 16, 2019 in his residence at Burlington, North Carolina.

A native of Graham, Robert was born April 29, 1962, to Robert F. and Betty G. Swink. Robert graduated from Graham High School in 1980, attended East Carolina University and spent his career at Swink Hosiery Mill, Sue-Lynn Textiles, Bob Swink Inc and Emergency Response and Rescue.

Robert enjoyed vacationing at the beach, spending time with his friends, and loved to golf. He will be remembered for his creative carpentry skills, contagious laugh, and ability to make friends wherever he went.

Mr. Swink is survived by two sons, David C. Swink of Raleigh and Adam F. Swink and his wife Tonya of Graham. He also leaves behind his sister and her spouse, Renee and Jeff Hinshaw of Mebane; as well as his dear friend, Victoria Briggs of Graham.

The funeral service will be held on February 19, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham. Officiating will be the Rev. Norman Whitney. The visitation will be held from 10:00 until 10:45 am prior to the time of the service.
