Robert Glenn Ellington, Jr., 73, of Graham, died on Friday, May 18th, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Brenda Sue Ellington, who survives, and the son of Robert Ellington, Sr. and Christine Vincent Ellington Woody, both deceased. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Strickland. He was a retired security guard and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Mr. Ellington was involved with the Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), was an avid fisherman, and loved to play carom.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three children; Lisa Dawn Sauz of Mebane, Angela Kay Langley of Graham, and James Barrett Langley and wife Carol of Denton; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Karen Curtis and husband Jevon of Snow Camp; brother, Harold Ellington of Snow Camp; his stepfather, Harlan Woody of Burlington; special aunt, Marie Parham of Graham; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham with Rev. David Mros officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:45 to 3:45 PM prior to the service at the Rich and Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham.
