Ricky Dark Brooks

Ricky Dark Brooks, 41, formerly of Snow Camp, died suddenly on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Santa Rosa Hospital in Milton, Florida.

A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Jeffrey and Sherry Brooks and biological father, Ricky Perry and wife Dale, all surviving. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church in Burlington.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his fiancé Roberta Borowski; daughter, Cassie Smith; six sons, Matthew Pike, Caleb Smith, Cody Smith, Cole Smith, Levi Brooks, and Jaxton Brooks; grandson, Dawson Smith; granddaughter, Brayleigh Pike; brother, Michael Brooks (Janel); four sisters, Wendy Clark (Bryant), Holly Cook (Greg), Melissa Haith (Thad), and Crystal Bunn (Timothy); grandfather, Roger Sykes; several nieces and nephews, Keigan, Cheyenne, Jaidyn, and Raven Brooks, Gaige and Ashton Clark, Adrian Boone, Adajia, Timothy Jr., Kemmett, Immanuel, and Noah Bunn; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Brett Brooks; maternal grandparents, Opal and Roy Moore; paternal grandparents, Robert and Sadie Brooks; and grandmother, Mattie Sykes

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington with Pastor Larry Lamberth officiating. Burial will follow at Bellemont United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 13 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Rich and Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington and at other times will be at the residence of Jeffrey and Sherry Brooks, 7014 Mt. Hermon-Rock Creek Road, Snow Camp.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rich and Thompson Funeral Home, PO Box 658, Burlington, NC 27216 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
