Rickey C. Batten, Sr.

Rickey C. Batten, Sr., 63, of Haw River, passed away on Sunday 11/14/2021 at his residence. A native of Montgomery County, he was the husband of Carleen I. Batten, who survives and the son of Johnny Max Batten, surviving and Sadie Greene Batten, deceased. He was a member of Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife and father, Rickey is survived by his son, Rickey C. Batten, Jr. of Mebane; daughters, Kristy O’Baugh (Josh), of Graham, Taylor Batten (Cord Mebane), of Wake Forest; a brother, Larry Batten, of Graham; sister, Lori Meeks, of Graham; 3 grandchildren, Lexi, Jayden and Colby.

A celebration of Rickey’s life will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Mark Stephens will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
