Richard “Dick”Alfred George 84, of Burlington NC passed away peacefully at the AutthoraCare Hospice Home in Burlington NC on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
Born in Warwick, Rhode Island April 7th 1939. He was the husband of Betty-Ann George. Preceded in death by his father Alfred George, his mother Ruth Links George, great grandson Nicholas Richard Vero, and great granddaughter Charlee Grace George.
Richard worked as a forklift operator at Fernandes in Norton MA for many years. He retired from Motorola in 1997 before moving to North Carolina. Besides enjoying time with his family Richard was an avid New England sports fan and never missed a Patriots game. In his younger days he enjoyed the game of pool and pitching for Norton men's softball league.
In addition to his loving wife of 64 years Betty-Ann George, he is survived by his two daughters, Dona Marie Juaire (Rick) Kellie Jean Hubacheck ( John) two sons, Scott Anthony George ( Sue) Brien Richard George ( Lyn). Ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Frederick George, and Phillip George, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
