Mr Richard H. Daniels, Sr.

Richard H. Daniels, Sr., age 85, passed away on June 7, 2018. He was a lifetime resident of Mebane, NC. He was a builder and land developer; and a veteran of the Korean War. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Rainey S. and Lola H. Daniels; a brother, Wayne H. Daniels; and sister, Eleanor D. King.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Bonnie Thompson Daniels; a son, Richard “Rick” H. Daniels, Jr. of Mebane; a daughter, Debra Masone (Jerry) of Wake Forest; step-daughter, Lisa W. Godwin (Jon) of Mebane; step-son, R. Scott Winningham of Concord, NC; a special sister, Raynelle D. Isley of Burlington, NC; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; ten nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

We would like to sincerely thank all of the caregivers, concerned friends and neighbors, Hospice workers, step-daughter, Lisa and his sister, Raynelle for the time and care they provided Richard to make him as comfortable as possible during his illness.

Richard was a generous and special man who led a private life and requests that there be no funeral and visitation. If anyone wants to remember him, they may do so by contributing to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell or to his lifelong church, Lebanon United Methodist Church, 6101 Lebanon Road, Mebane, NC 27302.
