Mr. Raymond Mull Miles, 87, of Burlington passed away at his daughter’s residence in Haw River on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Jacob Warren “Sonny” Miles and Robena Oakley Miles, both deceased. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Miles was an avid tennis player during his earlier years. At the age of 65, he began playing golf and had three holes in one. He attended The Lambs Chapel in Haw River.
Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Miles and husband Mark of Durham and Leslie Miles Smith and husband Bryan of Haw River; two grandchildren, Whitney Smith of Burlington and Tyler Smith of Virginia; sister, Ella Rae Mitchell of Burlington; brother, Johnny Mack Miles and wife Bobbie of Burlington; sister-in-law, Nancy Miles of Burlington; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Warren Miles and by his beloved dog Beanie who died one day prior to Mull’s passing.
A memorial service will be conducted at The Lambs Chapel, 415 Roxboro Road, Haw River, NC on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Ken Smith with the family receiving friends following the service. Please dress comfortably.
