Philip Joseph Nahser, 87, of Burlington passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2018.
A native of Atlanta, GA he was the husband of the late Mary Jane Hall Nahser and the son of C. Albert Nahser and Anna Lee Bateman Nahser, both deceased. Philip graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Physics and Engineering. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Philip worked as an electrical engineer and sales representative. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Burlington. Philip enjoyed woodworking, snow skiing, was a ham radio enthusiast, and a private pilot.
He is survived by his son, Philip J. Nahser, Jr. and wife Debbie of Greensboro; two daughters, Sally Ruth Nahser Murphy and husband Bill of Boston, MA and Anna Lee Nahser Potter and husband Steve of Lenoir, NC; nine grandchildren; and a brother, Don Nahser and wife Eilene of Alpharetta, GA.
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his son, Arthur Stanton Nahser; a brother, Clifford Nahser; and a sister in law, Anne Nahser.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Burlington, 508 W Davis St, Burlington, on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM by Rev. Norman Whitney with the family receiving friends following the memorial service at the church. At other times they will be at the residence. A private committal service will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery.
