Mrs Peggy Zachary Way

Peggy Zachary Way, 89, of Mebane passed away at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 6:40 a.m.

A native of Orange County, she was the wife of the late Thomas Hardin Way and the daughter of John Wilson Zachary and Pearl Tapp Zachary, both deceased. She retired from Western Electric and was a member of Clover Garden United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Curtis Way and John Way, both of Mebane. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Julia Alliger with the family receiving friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
